AUDIENCE -  TARGET MARKET

 

The OCR Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Business and Administration is aimed at people who
work as part of a team and ensure the provision of information and resources to others. The qualifications will provide learners with introductory business functional areas from which they may achieve competence in a variety of contexts.

QUALIFICATION AIMS

This qualification provides evidence of competence of being in a supporting role in an office environment. Optional units provide opportunity to show understanding and skills in a variety of areas, including basic finance, IT and contributing to events. Learners can
progress to the Level 2 Diploma, or to a Level 3 qualification.

QUALIFICATION STRUCTURE

To achieve a Level 2 Certificate in Business and Administration, you must complete a minimum of 21 credits, of which 14 credits must be selected from level 2 units:

1.         9 credits must be complete from Group A Mandatory Units; and,

2.         A minimum of 7 credits must come from Group B Optional Units

3.         A minimum of 5 further credits must come from Group B Optional Units

            or Group C Optional units.

Like all NVQs, these qualifications are competence-based. This means that they are linked to a person’s ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. These qualifications are internally assessed and internally verified by centre staff and externally verified by OCR Verifiers.
